Tucked into the serene landscape of Blue River, this 5,440-square-foot home was designed for both quiet living and shared experience. With a private pond just beyond its rear elevation, the architecture invites the outdoors in, framing natural views through expansive windows and fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor living. A refined mix of exposed steel and warm wood defines the home’s modern character, echoing the surrounding alpine terrain. The design centers on an open-concept main level that effortlessly connects the kitchen, great room, and dining area, spaces shaped for connection, comfort, and flow. Every detail reflects thoughtful collaboration and contextual sensitivity.
Exposed steel elements, visible in the stair structure and roofline, provide a striking contrast to natural textures, grounding the home’s modern aesthetic in the rhythm of its setting. Materials and layout were meticulously shaped to honor the wetlands and preserve the view.
From concept to permit in just eight weeks, this project was marked by shared vision and mutual trust. The clients arrived with clarity and enthusiasm, allowing the design team to refine and elevate the plan with intention and agility.
