Set in the Eagles Nest neighborhood with expansive eastern views, this remodel refined a recently built home to better suit its owner’s lifestyle. The design was understated yet purposeful—respecting the existing architecture while introducing a new dimension of functionality. The primary bathroom saw subtle adjustments, but the most impactful change was the addition of a dedicated home gym, discreetly positioned at the back of the garage. By expanding into an underused area, the design delivered a 15-by-11-foot space tailored precisely for the client’s preferred equipment and training style, creating a seamless extension of the home’s spirit and daily rhythm.
The additions were crafted to blend perfectly with the home’s original aesthetic, using the same exterior materials for a cohesive appearance. From the outside, it appears as though it was always part of the original plan—a thoughtful integration that enhances the home without disrupting its architectural harmony.
Incorporating the gym required precision. Building codes necessitated larger doors during construction, prompting creative planning to balance practicality with the home’s clean lines. The result is a private, well-equipped space that offers the client the freedom to train, stretch, and recover—all while enjoying the surrounding mountain serenity.
