High View

Set within the Highlands neighborhood of Breckenridge, this 6,540-square-foot mountain modern home was designed as a true gathering place, elevated in both form and function. Originally envisioned with a more traditional roofline, the design evolved after the client was inspired by a curved barrel-roof silhouette seen during a visit to town. The final result integrates sweeping roof forms, exposed trusses, and a palette of wood and stone, creating a striking yet grounded architectural language. Expansive living spaces across two levels accommodate a large family, while large windows, sliding doors, and sculptural beam work invite the outdoors in and elevate everyday living.

Inspired by Discovery

The barrel-style roofs were a late but defining addition, an idea sparked by the client’s exploration of the surrounding neighborhoods. That moment of inspiration reshaped the home’s character, making it uniquely expressive and visually memorable.
