Project Spotlight: Mountain Revival

A Refined Mountain Modern Retreat in Breckenridge

Every legacy has a beginning. For this family of six, it started years ago in a home quietly nestled among the evergreens of Breckenridge. From the living room, sweeping views of the ski resort stretched across the horizon while trails wound through the aspens just steps away. It was a setting both rare and personal, one the family cherished deeply. But as they grew, the home no longer reflected the way they lived.

Rather than start fresh somewhere new, they chose to preserve the place that held their memories, reimagining it into something that could carry their story forward. With trust already established from a past collaboration, they returned to us to transform their family home into a refined mountain modern retreat.

Breathing New Life into a Beloved Home

This was no light refresh — it was a full transformation. The home was stripped down, every system was upgraded, and each surface reconsidered. Our shared vision was clear: create a retreat that feels sophisticated yet livable, layered with warmth, texture, and durability to support the rhythms of family life.

From the exterior form to the smallest interior detail, the design balances beauty and function. It’s a home that lives just as well on a quiet Tuesday morning as it does during the holidays, ensuring both daily ease and long-lasting legacy.

The Kitchen: A True Centerpiece

At the heart of the remodel is a kitchen built to gather. An oversized island, crafted from a single continuous slab of stone, anchors the room with both presence and practicality. Its uninterrupted veining turns the surface into a sculptural focal point — one that serves as both workspace and gathering spot.

Every finish, from cabinetry to fixtures, was selected to create depth and cohesion. The result is a space where homework, shared meals, and late-night conversations all find their place — a true reflection of how this family lives.

A Home Shaped by Setting

Rooted in its surroundings, the home embraces its alpine context. Expansive windows capture views of Breckenridge’s peaks, while nearby trails invite connection to the outdoors. The balance between seclusion and convenience makes this home both a retreat and a getaway— close to the slopes, yet deeply connected to nature.

The Spirit of Collaboration

What made this project especially meaningful was the trust and collaboration behind it. Having worked with these clients before, the process carried an ease and openness that shaped every decision. Their clarity of vision, paired with a willingness to explore, allowed us to curate a home that reflects not just design excellence but also the partnership that made it possible.

A Legacy Carried Forward

Mountain Revival is more than a remodel. It’s a reimagining of a beloved family home into a refined retreat layered with texture, contrast, and thoughtful detail. It honors the past while embracing the future — a place where traditions continue, stories unfold, and memories are made for generations to come.
